How to be happy in life | Do these 5 things | Author On Travel

2020 has been particularly hard, and it has taught us some important lessons. How about stepping into 2021 with this checklist of how to stay content and feel happy? We think it’s a great plan! However these tips will work every year and year by year, so buckle up, let’s go: 
Wake up early 
It may sound alarming and awkward to many but it is the need of the hour Start practising a routine for a healthy life. Practice a routine of sleeping on time and waking up at the same hour every day. Start your day with a positive mood. How about giving it a try huh! 
Begin every morning with a smile
Just a smile for 10 secs maybe. You may think of  doing it while no one is around. It may sound funny, trust me to start the day with a smile is something will for sure work. Tell yourself it’s going to be a day full of happiness and contentment, and have a wide smile on your face. It might sound silly, but trust us, it will set the tone for the day ahead!
If possible start meditation 
People who are not used of it and don’t know how to start, gear up for a minute. Start at least for a once guys it will help. In fact, research shows that our brain releases an anti-anxiety chemical called GABA when we practice meditation or yoga. A study in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found there is a 27 per cent increase in GABA levels after an hour of meditation.
Take up a habit of reading 
I know I know many would say that if not possible because I can’t read a single page. I have language issues and many others would have other excuses for not reading. The biggest of them is the time. DO not worry, take out10 minutes’ start reading in whichever way you wish to and whatever you love to. Get a book from your favourite genre, slip into the quilt, and sip on some hot chocolate as you immerse yourself in a different world.
Last but not least -Give hugs and love 
Spread more and more and more. When you hug a person, your body releases the cuddle chemical, oxytocin. That’s why you end up feeling happy! It is a hormone that is linked to social bonding, fostering trust and loyalty. Moreover, a hug also lowers your blood pressure and helps you release anxiety.
