The Plot

As a tribute to the great King of Ayodhya and the Valmiki’s legendary epic. Adipurush’s teaser delivers on its promise of providing the audience with a rich, fulfilling cinematic experience. Now post-release, there are fumbled speculations about the dialogues. And how few things have been put up in the movie. At a point, Id o does not see the audience resembling much to it.

Prabhas plays Raghav, inspired by Rama. Kriti Sanon plays Janaki, influenced by Sita. Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh, who is inspired by Ravana. The phrases in the Lanka Dahan scene, where Lord Hanuman says “jalegi bhi tere baap ki” to Meghnad, have provoked significant attention. Only one day after the film’s premiere, Twitterati erupted with criticism and continuous trolling. Many viewers judged these dialogues to be ‘tapori’ and ‘chapri,’. Which they felt did not align with the nature or grandeur associated with Valmiki’s great epic, the Ramayana.

The movie has gotten a lot of flak on social media for its visual effects (VFX), storyline, design, and director. One part of the film’s conversations has attracted harsh criticism from netizens.

‘Ban Adipurush’ trended a big time on social media. The AICWA has now written an open letter to PM Narendra Modi to issue an immediate order to stop the screening of the film.

Social Media Rash

The letter reads, “Adipurush Movie is Hurting religious Sentiment’s of Hindus and Sanatan Dharma. Prabhu Shri Ram is a God for everyone in India not matter what religious faith one comes from. This movie depicts Lord Ram and even Ravan who looks like a character of a video game. With dialogues hurting every Indian in the country and across the globe. Actor Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan shouldn’t have been part of such a disgraceful movie. It is one of worst movie ever made in the history of Indian Cinema. Adipurush is a complete disaster of our faith in Shri Ram and Ramayan.”

Box Office Collection

Talking about the film’s box-office collection, Adipurush, was made on a budget of around 500 crores. The movie raked in around 340 crores over the first weekend. Movie added an additional 20 crores on its crucial Monday. May be the stunt for publicity is working ot it is real issue among the followers of Lord Ram.

My views: The visual effects and visual appeal are adequate, if not outstanding. The 3D appears to be an afterthoughtWith a running time of 3 hours, the story should have been more reliant on special effects. It does impact the essence of the revered people or what made them stand out. The dramatic buildup is not solving the purpose. The audience has got no reason to be joyous or victorious.
